Bride with bouquet by the sea in the sun on wedding day

GET TO KNOW ME

After finishing school and travelling the world, I started my first 'grown up' job at in hospitality for a national chain and by 19, I became the youngest restaurant manager in the business. This gave me my first insight into the world of customer relations. I loved the fast pace, the friendly faces and of course - the food

After mastering the art of customer service, I left restaurants to begin my first role in marketing and events for a national publishers. Before long I was head of marketing for the South West. From celebrity black tie awards ceremonies to fine dining extravaganzas with Michelin starred chefs, you name it, I organised it! It's here that I began to forge relationships with suppliers across the South West, creating brand partnerships and working closely with business owners to showcase the very best that the South West has to offer.

Alongside my events experience, I have also qualified as a management accountant with experience in creating and managing budgets for a variety of clients. You can rest assured that your wedding will be everything you ever dreamed of... without breaking the bank!

Over the years, at every event I planned, I would always think "This would work well at a wedding!". Thanks to my extensive experience & contacts in the industry, I knew exactly what my own wedding would look like when the time came. Cut to 2019 when I got engaged to my childhood sweetheart and the plan was put into action. Well… it's a good job I enjoy organising because over the next two years, I rearranged our marquee wedding four times! Countless supplier emails, two changes of venue, a dress that had to be restarted from scratch and hundreds of hours of planning later, we finally tied the knot in late 2021- and it was perfect!

In 2022, I decided to make my part-time pastime a full-time thing and River Rose Wedding Planner was born.

When I'm not busy wedding planning, you can find me hanging out with my husband James and daughter Margot, walking my dog Marley or out for dinner with friends.
